Performances, Recitals, Talks

Jasmina Bolfek-Radovani has (co-)directed several performances and recitals between 2019 and 2023 as part of her ongoing project "Unbound".

"Heart Monologues" series: recitals and performances:

Thursday 13 April 2023, 19 hrs, Galerija Makina, Pula, Croatia
Tuesday 21 March 2023, 19:30 hrs, Delaville Café, Paris, France
Wednesday 16 March 2022, 18:00 hrs, Regent Street Cinema, London, UK

“Heart monologues" is a 30 min long multi-sensory recital based on Jasmina Bolfek-Radovani's multilingual poem sequence "Heart monologues" containing thirteen poems in French, English and Croatian. It combines words of Jasmina’s poetry with recorded and live voices of the readers, and music and live performance by composer Atau Tanaka, and with artistic co-direction by Delphine Salkin. It contains the multilingual sonic piece "Heart Coeur Srce" with multiple human voices saying the word heart in more than twenty different languages.

Heart monologues is an international artistic collaboration conceived across different European cultural centres - London, Paris, Brussels, Zagreb and Pula (future cities might include also Mulhouse, Lyon and Berlin). The premiere of "Heart monologues" took place at the legendary venue of the Regent Street Cinema in central London in 2022.

The Heart monologues playlist is available here.

Creative team members: Bridget Knapper, Emma McPherson, Daniel Loayza, Delphine Salkin, Robert Santek, Atau Tanaka.

We are enormously thankful for the support received in the UK, France, and Croatia without which the performances would not have been possible.

“Reveries about Language” series, 2019 & 2020, London & Zagreb

“Reveries about Language” was a series of immersive multilingual poetry recitals and performances that took place in 2019 and 2020. They are imagined as a multitude of sonic, visual and textual ‘promenades’ inviting the public to immerse themselves in the multi- sensorial experiences of Jasmina Bolfek-Radovani's poetry in English, French and Croatian, across locations in London, Zagreb, Paris and Brussels. The series is part of the multilingual poetry project "Unbound" that received funding from the Language Acts and Worldmaking Small grants programme 2018 & 2019. For full details on the Reveries about language series, go here.
